Nicole: The 2008 market crash marked the beginning of one of the most challenging periods in my life. Both my husband, Michael, and I were working in real estate full time, pursuing our dreams. However, it was impossible to survive off of commissions alone when the crash hit. The financial impact didn’t just affect our clients. We lost our home—the home we thought would be in our family forever.

 

We were forced to move in with my parents, a humbling experience to reclaim my childhood room. During this time, I could hardly speak about our situation without becoming overwhelmed by emotion and feelings of loss. But as years passed, and we rebuilt our careers in real estate, I was able to see this difficult experience as a source of strength. We had faced significant challenges but overcame them. Coming to this realization, I was able to let down the walls I had put up.

 

This eventually led to a personal and professional transformation. I discovered the power of our own story to inspire and reassure clients. By openly discussing `my experiences, I helped others see the potential for recovery and renewal, proving that even the toughest times hold valuable lessons. This shift restored my faith in the impact I could have on others’ lives through real estate.

 

Since obtaining my license in 1999, I've prioritized customer satisfaction and excellence in service. My years of experience have also enabled me to train and mentor new agents, sharing my knowledge and passion for real estate, and ensuring the next generation is as dedicated and client-focused as I strive to be. It has been important to us to also create a legacy for our son, Cole, and teach him the true value of homeownership, learning from our experiences.

 

Michael: Facing challenges as a united front has defined not only our personal relationship but also our professional lives. For many years, while I navigated the complexities of the mortgage industry, Nicole was building a stellar reputation as a REALTOR®. It was only in 2012, after weathering the turbulence of the market crash, that we decided to officially join forces. While we had always supported each other, we realized the potential of leveraging our distinct strengths to deliver a world-class service to our clients.

 

Nicole and I met through real estate, where she offered to help me earn my real estate license. From there, we hit it off, marking the start of 25 years together and celebrating over 20 years married! In joining Nicole to form the Jones Team, I was drawn to the more personal aspects of real estate. I thrive on creating meaningful connections and guiding clients who often stand at pivotal moments in their lives.

 

My background in selling artwork and working in art galleries has sharpened my eye for detail and love for aesthetics, while my experience managing sales teams honed my skills in leading others. We plan to grow the Jones Team, continuing to build on our vision of combining the unique strengths of each individual to provide a comprehensive experience for our clients.

 

Together, Nicole and I have cultivated a business that not only supports our family but allows us to work seamlessly as a team, combining my detailed, aesthetic focus with Nicole's practical, strategic approach. We take pride in the values we’ve upheld through every high and low.

 

Our greatest joy comes from our son, who is kind, respectful, and excels academically—whatever he sets his mind to, he can achieve. We hope our journey has inspired him to live life on his own terms and that true success is measured not just by professional accomplishments, but by the positive impact we have on others.
